Stop Aging and Wrinkles With the Right Olive Oil Moisturizer
March 21, 2011
The right olive oil moisturizer can be extremely beneficial for your skin, not only is olive oil moisturizing, but it also contains a lot of vital nutrients and fatty acids that our skin loves.
The benefits of olive oil have been proven by countries like Spain, Italy, and Greece that eat olive oil instead of other unhealthy oils.
It has been effective against many ailments such as dandruff, and dry skin. This is why many skin care products are now saying that they use olive oil in their products.
But there is one vital thing you have to know about choosing the right moisturizer. You have to pay attention to what else these companies are putting the product you intend to buy.
Because many companies, and manufacturers today are using filler ingredients, and harmful chemicals, this makes for cheaper products, and more profit.
So how can you know that they aren’t just trying to fool you into buying something that is ultimately harmful for your skin, and sometimes for your health (several ingredients used in skin care products today are known to cause cancer, and disrupt your body’s systems).
It’s tough, you have to trust the company that you buy from. I used to have this dilemma myself, and it took me a long, long time to discover a company that I really trust, and I now use their products daily.
My skin looks great. Your next step is to put in the time to research, and find a company that you like. As I said, it might take time, but it is worth it.
The product that I use contains Olivem 800, it is specifically made to penetrate deeply into the skin to hydrate, and rejuvenate it. Olivem 800 is also specially made to moisturize and take care of your skin, so I would definitely recommend that you look for that.

Why Use Virgin Olive Oil in Your Dishes?
March 14, 2011
Olive oil has been known as the ‘liquid gold from the gods’ and the oil surely deserves the name since it has a lot to offer and it does cost quite a bit as well. A lot of people have asked themselves why others use virgin olive oil in cooking. Actually, there are numerous reasons why people do and despite the fact that it’s a bit more expensive than the regular vegetable oil people usually use, the quality and benefits overweigh the difference in the price tags.
Richer Flavors
Aside from the known fact that using virgin olive oil in cooking is a lot healthier than using the regular vegetable oil since virgin olive oil doesn’t contain any refined oil, you’ll also get tons of other improvements on your cooking as well. For one thing, compared to the regular vegetable oil, virgin olive oil doesn’t lose its quality quickly. When used in frying, oils tend to lose its natural flavor the longer it is used. Virgin olive oil does not burn too easily as opposed to vegetable oil which decomposes a bit more quickly. Using the proposed virgin olive oil in your cooking will let you cook with the full flavor of the oil longer since it doesn’t give out much gaseous fumes. Since it doesn’t decompose that easily, you’ll more likely to receive the full nutrients and flavor the oil gives out. The end product of your cooking will then be a richly flavored dish that’s even healthier to boot. Also, if you can manage to get your hands on some extra virgin olive oil, it’ll be perfect to use on some salad dressings, dips for bread and such.
Enhancing Flavors
Apart from the overall better quality of virgin olive oil compared to the regular vegetable ones, you’ll also be able to infuse herbs and spices to it since it is the perfect oil for infusing flavors, thus making things a lot more interesting. You’ll be able to add different flavors to your dishes and turn them into special cuisines. Take frying for example. Once you’ve gotten your hands on garlic infused virgin olive oil, you’ll be able to turn even the simplest fried fish or meat to a special meal with great ease. You can even give your cakes some natural flavor to them by using lemon infused virgin olive oil or turn your pasta into extra special once you use chili infused virgin olive oil. In short, you’ll be able to make some major improvements on your dishes if you use virgin olive oil on them.
Using virgin olive oil on your dishes has some really noticeable differences in regards to the resulting dish’s flavor and nutritional values. Overall, although virgin olive oil is more expensive than the common vegetable oil, it is definitely a good choice to use as a replacement for the latter considering it is healthier, tastier, and that you could even add some more flavor to the mix. It is no wonder why a lot of people who love to cook can’t let their kitchens run out of virgin olive oil.
What are Some Olive Oil Recipes?
March 7, 2011
Olive oil has long been proven to be a lot more beneficial than the ordinary vegetable or canola oils. Whether people who use it because of the health benefits it gives or simply just their preference, the great things olive oil has to offer outweigh its expensive price. Olive oil can be a great substitute for the commonly used vegetable oil and you’ll be able to find a lot of great olive oil recipes as well. Read along and you’ll learn two easy olive oil recipes.
Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes
One of the easiest olive oil recipes is the roasted garlic mashed potatoes. First thing you have to do is to cut off three heads of garlic and sprinkle olive oil to them. Then you have to place it in a covered pan and heat it at around 350 degrees for around 15 minutes. During this time, you can go ahead and boil some potatoes on salted water. You’ll need to wait around 30-40 minutes for this one. Once the 15 minutes have passed, you can go ahead and add a bit more olive oil to the garlic and go ahead and cover it up for another 10 minutes or so. You’ll notice the garlic is done once they feel a bit soft. Once the garlic is done, you’ll need to put them on a bowl or a container. By this time the potatoes should be almost done. Once you notice that the potatoes are soft enough for your preference or fork-tender, you can go ahead and drain the pot and mash the potatoes. You’ll then add the garlic to the mashed potatoes and add a bit of salt depending on your taste. Add a bit of extra virgin olive oil and mash the potatoes some more up to your desired consistency and there you have it.
Garlic Spaghetti
This is a really easy and quick recipe if ever you’re into pasta. All you’ll need is 500 grams of spaghetti noodles, 8-9 tablespoons of olive oil, 5 cloves of chopped medium sized garlic, 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley, salt and black pepper.
While you’re boiling the spaghetti noodles to an al dente texture, you can go ahead and prepare the rest. Pour the olive oil into a pan and mix the garlic, salt and pepper to it. Cook the garlic at low heat since this will let the flavor seep into the oil. Right about time when the garlic is golden brown the spaghetti will be done. Transfer the noodles to a serving dish and pour in the oil with the garlic. You’ll then toss the spaghetti noodles and once done, sprinkle the two tablespoons of parsley on top and there you have it – nice, quick and easy. This recipe may sound like one of the dull olive oil recipes you’ve heard of, but the end product is pretty good.
There are many ways of using olive oil to make your everyday meals into special ones. There are tons of other olive oil recipes out there and bit by bit, you’ll love the enhanced flavors your dishes will have. You might even make your own olive oil recipes as well.
